Staybridge Suites Cardiff by IHG

Lovely 3 night stay at Staybridge Suites in Cardiff. Great location as it sits between Cardiff Bay & the City Centre. We stayed in a king suite overlooking the water. The bed was comfortable, bathroom modern, kitchen facilities available as well as a wardrobe, table & chairs, pouffe & plenty of storage space. Staff were all very friendly and attended to all of our needs. There's an onsite gym overlooking the water, a free laundry room to use, snacks to buy and a bar which connects staybridge suites with the Holiday Inn. There are social nights during the week and a den or food area to relax. Breakfast included. There were hot & cold options. Rooms were cleaned daily. Check in from 3pm and checkout at 11am. Parking available on a first come first served basis priced at £10 per day.

Nice accomodation on the quayside. 15-20min walk to the city centre, about £6 in an uber. 2 night stay, didnt see many staff but the ones we did see were doing great work. A star off for the room not being serviced but wasn't a disaster, and one off for location as not alot to do in the immediate area. However this did mean it was nice and quiet at night.

Lovely hotel we had a room with balcony overlooking the wharf. Great buffet breakfast with a view onto the wharf. Get there early to get parking as they share the car park with Holiday Inn next door and people ended up parking on the pavement later on

Clean tidy rooms on a wharf, went for a lovely walk alonf the canals It's also about 20 minutes walk to Cardiff stadium, but even if you catch a cab it will take you half way as the roads are closed on match days. The breakfast was much better than I expected with a variety of hot and cold dishes on offer

Had a great short 2 day stay at the hotel. Everything from the staff checking in until we left was a very good experience and I haven't stayed at this brand within IHG before. A spacious and very clean room with all the amenities you would need for a few days were there. The only thing which needed attention was the AC this wasn't very efficient and since we only stayed two nights we never complained about this. The breakfast was also very good and definitely value for money. Not allot of space there but as this is a hotel for longer stays I guess there is people preparing breakfast in their room. The location is perfect and a relatively short walk both down to the harbour where there is lots of restaurants, cafe's etc. A similar short walk into city centre with shops, Cardiff Castle, etc.

We stayed one night, but would liked to have stayed longer as it was a really nice accommodation. Read on for my 'Pros and Cons'... PROS: ~Spacious suites with bedroom, living room, entry area, kitchenette, 2 TVs. ~Modern, clean, beautiful decor. ~Friendly staff. ~Luggage hold. ~Buffet breakfast included, featuring hot and cold items, fruit, oatmeal, Weetabix, full English, muffins, croissants, yogurts, fancy coffee machine, OJ, etc. ~Walkable into the center of town and the waterfront -- about 20 mins each which was fine in the summer. ~Quiet -- we like suites due to the fact the bedroom is not close to the hallway. CONS: ~A bit of a walk to town or the waterfront, but manageable for the average person -- approx 20 mins. The slightly 'away from it all' location is reflected in the price. ~Somewhat dim lighting in the bathroom. ~Parking costs extra (£10, summer of 2025) and the lot fills up fast. Some people parked where they shouldn't have. (i.e. not in actual marked spaces). We got there early, parked the car, left our luggage with the front desk and didn't move the car the entire time we were there. We would stay at Staybridge Suites Cardiff again. I was surprised as I though I was checking in Holiday inn. Lovely new build. Very spacious studio room with kitchen. Big bathroom. I also used the gym and electric car charging. Best part was that the place was new. If you come there in the evening I would not recommend the bar food from the other side(bar). Take an uber and go somewhere else if you don’t to be disappointed. Staybridge Suite gets 5 star review for the stay.

Really lovely suites and would recommend. My only note is the aircon unit makes so much noise. Other than that, it has everything you need and was super comfy as well as the service from staff was impeccable. Thank you
